Fresh produce from the market must be safer than commercially prepared baby food.		Heinz growers have extremely high standards. In fact, our requirements for growing fresh produce are even more stringent than those enforced by the Canadian government.
Homemade baby food must provide a better level of nutrition than commercially prepared baby food.		Heinz baby food provides for all of your baby's nutritional needs. Careful and standardized processing retains almost all of the nutrients in foods.

Fruits and vegetables can lose valuable nutrients when they're cooked - especially if the water is poured down the drain. That's why we purée our fruits and vegetables with the water they're cooked in. So virtually all the nutrients that were in the pea - or apple or squash or pear - are in the jar.

All our fresh fruits and vegetables are tested for pesticide residues. But that's just the beginning. In fact, Heinz baby food is triple-tested for quality, safety and nutritional content.

And when we say triple-tested, we really mean many different tests, at all stages of processing: raw ingredient quality assurance (including testing for pesticide residues); in-process testing; and final product acceptance. From farm (we're very picky about how and where our produce is grown) to finished product, a Heinz sweet potato - or wax bean or strawberry - is actually inspected, analyzed, vision-tested, checked and re-checked before it's vacuum-packed. Each jar is then safety-sealed; no other baby food maker does that. That's why you can trust the safety of Heinz baby food.
